Rocky Mountain Front

Folks from the Denver area may find this picture familiar. Looks like the Front Range of the Rockies, right? Well, it is...but about 600 miles north of Denver in far Southern Alberta. The mountains rise just as dramatically from the plains here as they do in Colorado. Though you can't see it well in this picture, the prairies were loaded with wildflowers. It was all rather spectacular. And, after three days in the murk west of the Continental Divide, the sun was out. You can see the clouds piled up along the mountain crest, again just like from Denver.
