Peril in Fernie

Fernie, the town I'm staying in at the moment, has a nice system of trails. I was walking along the Elk River this morning, right in town, when I came to this sign in a park. I asked a couple of locals who were leaving the area while walking their dogs what the dangerous animal might be, and they said it was probably a cow moose with her calf. I guess the moose just took over the park and disses anyone who dares to enter! I wonder if she's teaching her calf to play tennis. Baseball is also a possibility as there's a diamond just behind the tennis courts.
