Autumn in Northern Michigan

In late September I spent several days in Northern Lower Michigan.  The leaves were just starting to turn, and the countryside was tranquil.  Here's a lake on a peninsula jutting into a bay of Lake Michigan.

Lighthouse at the northern tip of Old Mission Peninsula, in Grand Traverse Bay...an arm of Lake Michigan.

Fungus proliferating on the forest floor.

Early fall colors hint at the coming glory.

A maple leaf close up.

Delicately veined.
